What 500 spins looked like

How the free spins and the expanding symbol work
Book of Dead has one special symbol, the book, and it does two jobs. It is the wild, standing in for every other symbol, and it is the scatter, paying anywhere on the screen: 2× the total bet for three, 20× for four, 200× for five [3].
Three or more books start 10 free spins. Before they begin, one ordinary symbol is picked at random to be the special expanding symbol for the whole round. In the free spins, when enough of it lands to pay, it grows to cover its whole reel and pays on every line, even on reels that aren't next to each other [2]. Three more books during the round add another 10 spins.
A worked example at 1.00 a spin, which is 10 lines at 0.10. Five Rich Wildes on a line pay 5,000× the line bet, 500.00 [3]. If Rich Wilde is the expanding symbol and fills all five reels, he pays that on all ten lines: 5,000.00, the game's cap of 5,000× the bet.
